We are happy to announce that we have officially started our homestudy! The homestudy is basically the process to “approve” us to adopt a child. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so much paperwork….more than buying a house! It’s amazing the things we have to do but we of course are willing to do it. Today Whitney and I went down to the local police station to get background checks and get fingerprinted. It was pretty exciting to be doing something official like that. It makes it seem even MORE official! I never thought it would be fun hanging out at the police station! Anyway, now we are onto writing miniature autobiographies about our lives (Whitney plans on inserting portions from Ronald Reagan’s biography, but I’m pretty sure they will notice) and signing a bunch of things. Our social worker from Albuquerque will be coming down here in May to visit our home and interview us.
Thanks to everyone for the continued support and love during this time. I’ll admit that there are moments when I freak out (Whitney is the calm one…you all may have already known that one!) Thankfully, God always shows me a light when I feel like I can not see.
On another note, we have designed a tee-shirt that we will will be selling (hopefully soon) in the store. Just looking for the right screenprinter. We also have two notecard packages (a blank note card option and a thank you card option) we are getting printed to sell (I also designed those). Just mixin’ it up a bit for ya! Stay tuned!

“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:12 (KJV)
Happy Thursday everyone!
We have been amazed by all the support we have received since announcing that we are going to adopt. Whether it’s been through monetary donations, supporting our store, love, thoughts and prayers…it’s all be greatly appreciated and needed. There is one person in particular who has been 100% on board and busting at the seams excited and that is my sister Jana. As soon as we told her about it, she was already starting to come up with some fundraising ideas. On the side she sells Silpada jewelry. She has graciously decided to have a party for us with ALL the proceeds going to our adoption fund! This girl is ready to be an AUNT!
So below is all the information you will need to go to the party! If you are in Marietta, Ohio there will be an actual open house event. If not, well you can go online starting from now til May 12th to shop! Click on the picture below to go right to her page!
Thank you again for all the support and thank you Jana! WE LOVE YOU AUNT BEEZLEY!
Happy Good Friday everyone! We are feeling very grateful right now especially with Easter in a few days. Of course the whole purpose of this holiday is not to honor the Easter bunny or eat a bunch of candy (though I do love those Starburst Jellybeans!) It’s to remember that Christ died for our sins so that we may have eternal life.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15:4)
Whitney has taken a few days off from work to make this a long weekend. He hasn’t had a vacation since we moved to New Mexico! It’s been nice being able to just be together and not have set plans. We have done a few things around the house though. I have been making bird’s nest pendants galore (thank you everyone!!) and Whitney has actually been painting a bed frame we bought a few years ago that is now going to be for our daughter!! Though we can’t help but get excited that MAYBE next Easter we will have her with us and we will be able to teach her about Easter and celebrate God’s love with her.
So, it’s been a pretty “good” Friday. We hope you are having a good Friday too.
